By Coach: There are regular services between Turkey
and Austria, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, and Greece;
also Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Syria.
By Air: Most of the international airline companies
have flights for Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Adana, Trabzon and Dalaman
from the principle capitals major cities of the world.
Most international airlines have regular flights from all major
cities of the world to Turkey's international airports.
By Sea: Apart from numerous cruises in the Mediterranean,
several foreign shipping companies have regular passenger ferries
to the ports of Trabzon, Samsun, Istanbul, Dikili, Izmir, Çesme,
Kusadasi, Bodrum, Marmaris, Antalya, Alanya, Mersin and Iskenderun.
There are several car ferries for tourists who wish to take their
cars while sightseeing: Venice, Ancona, Brindisi, Bari, Istanbul,
Izmir, Çesme, Kusadasi, Marmaris, Antalya.
By Rail: Train journeys can be made to Istanbul
directly from via some of the major cities in Europe.
b. What to Bring
The average temperatures may fluctuate depending on the region.
Therefore, international students are advised to bring warm clothes,
winter hats and boots for most of the inner regions during fall
and winter. However, all these items of clothing can be purchased
at a reasonable cost in all major cities.
